  We attended King of Glory (KOG) for two years and loved it. The worship incorporated great music and was beautiful. The low rating here relates to the position of key church leaders on life and abortion issues. I knew little about branches of Lutheran doctrine and was a fledgling Christian at the time. Eventually, in personal discussion with a key staff member, I found that this person leading the church referred and transported young women to Planned Parenthood for abortions and supported abortion financially. In years since, I came to know that there are different & conflicting Lutheran doctrinal beliefs. Reviewing the KOG website today, I see nothing to clearly define its position on key life and family issues. Anyone who is pro-life should verify the church's and pastor's position on this important foundational issue. I could never return to the church for this reason.

  The preschool here is amazing. My daughter spent 2 years going here and the staff treated her with such respect and she still talks about it a few years later!

  Very warm congregation. During the morning greeting(which makes me uncomfortable as it breaks the worshipful ambience, and could be done prior to the service, or afterwards) the congregants move far beyond the people right behind, or next to them, or in front. They cross aisles and go beyond the pew in front or behind them. The church is very socially active, volunteering at a mission that feeds the poor or homeless, support local food banks, sponsor immigrant families, work with Habitat for Humanity, and with
  a mission outreach in Rocky Point, and about once a year, go down there with volunteers and help build, repair and maintain the buildings and take donations of clothing
